Introduction
Hi, Eddy Baby and Lindy Loo of course! As I read your early years narrative, Ed, I relived mine. Our journeys were (are?) similar. I too did all sorts of jobs as kid/teenager for pocket money or just to give folks a helping hand: spring and fall cleanups (indoors and out), summer yard work and refinishing hardwood floors, painting, winter snow clearings, had two paper routes ( Ottawa Citizen , Le Droit ) with some kooky character dealings, worked with my plumber Dad on his sometimes dirty and smelly jobs. Speaking of smelly to make more $$ on weekends I cleaned the offices at Ottawa Diaper Service (ODS) - yes Diaper - located in the St Laurent industrial park area. I got more work there in the summer prepping (i.e. opening dirty diaper bags) for launder and camper clothing for Jewish summer campers when regular ODS staff took their summer vacations.
